The 2017 Ho Chi Minh-Gyeongju World Cultural Expo officially ed on November 11. The Ho Chi Minh-Gyeongju World Cultural Expo Organizing Committee reported progress at Gyeongsangbuk-do Office on the 21st and announced that the ing ceremony had been rescheduled to coincide with the APEC Summit Talk to be held in Danang, Vietnam (November 10-11). The previous ing date was November 9. With the new ing date, the length of the event was shortened from 25 to 23 days. The expo, the first large international event after the assumption to power of the new administration, was held throughout Ho Chi Minh from November 11 to December 3, with the theme “Asia’s mutual prosperity through cultural exchanges.” “This event is highly significant as it is time for us to elevate our relationship with Vietnam from one simply of economic cooperation to a more mature and sustainable one, through cultural exchanges,” said Secretary General Dong Woo Lee of Gyeongju World Cultural Expo. “It is expected to set the stage for broad international cultural exchanges for many countries in Asia, besides South Korea and Vietnam.”
