Ho Chi Minh Agricultural Team visits rice farms and agricultural food processing plants
Gyeongsangbuk-do’s advanced agricultural technology will be transferred to Ho Chi Minh. Towards this end, Gyeongsangbuk-do invited the Ho Chi Minh Agricultural Training Team to its office to explain to its members the province’s agricultural policies and to discuss plans to further the agricultural exchanges and export cooperation between Gyeongsangbuk-do and Ho Chi Minh. A team of 12 agricultural experts, agricultural investment consultants, and government officials led by Nguyen Tu Long Uyen will visit Gyeongsangbuk-do’s rice farms, RPC (Rice Processing Complex), agricultural food processing plants, and 6th industries from the 18th to the 23rd to learn the related technologies. “The agricultural training program in Gyeongsangbuk-do will be a chance to develop Ho Chi Minh’s agricultural capabilities to the next level,” said Nguyen Tu Long Uyen, the head of Vietnam’s National Agricultural Strategy Office, as he requested for ongoing exchange and cooperation. The training program was requested by Vietnam so that it could discover new crops and promote changes in its agricultural capabilities. Gyeongsangbuk-do intends to attain agricultural development both of South Korea and Vietnam, and to improve the international reputation of Gyeongsangbuk-do’s agricultural technology, beyond cultural exchange, before the “2017 Ho Chi Minh-Gyeongju World Cultural Expo.” Also, Gyeongsangbuk-do’s food promotion center and shops will be ed as attractions of the related festivals during the Ho Chi Minh-Gyeongju Expo, to create opportunities to expand the province’s exports to Vietnam. Natnam Agriculture, a member of the training team, is an influential agricultural food supplier in Ho Chi Minh that specializes in agricultural investment consulting and farm produce processing. Gyeongsangbuk-do is planning to establish a human network with this company for it to serve as Gyeongsangbuk-do’s agricultural food export supporter.
