Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the afternoon of September 19 that it had signed a Memorandum of erstanding (MOU) with First Skill*, ftballer**, and Yeongdeok-gun in Yeongdeok to build an FS Soccer Theme Park in the region.

** Sports agency (Sports Event & Hospitality, Consulting, Management, etc.; Lee Rogers, Chief Executive Officer, ftballer)
This occasion is the first time that an agreement has been signed for the development of the soccer industry, and the signing ceremony was attended by about 20 people, including Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs Dal-hee Lee, Yeongdeok County Governor Kwang-yeol Kim, Provincial Member Jae-cheol Hwang, First Skill CEO Seong-soo Huh, and ftballer Director Jin-hyeong Shin.
On this day, it was agreed that as part of the FS Soccer Theme Park Construction Project, a soccer-specialized* hotel would first be built in Daebu-ri, Yeongdeok-eup, and a soccer school and youth soccer camp would also be promoted as a joint project in the future.

This soccer hotel will be equipped with convenient facilities, such as seminar rooms, massage rooms, treatment rooms, various indoor and outdoor sports facilities, cafeterias, and swimming pools, to be used as accommodations for domestic soccer–related conferences, training, seminars, and youth soccer camps.
Since its designation as the nation’s first special youth soccer zone*, Yeongdeok has consistently held national youth soccer tournaments, such as the Snow Crab Soccer Tournament.
＊ Designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (1.1 million ㎡) on July 18, 2016, with a KRW 51-billion-worth of economic effect.
However, it is having difficulties hosting large-scale or international competitions due to the lack of accommodation infrastructure in the region. In this regard, this project is expected to help significantly in hosting major events in the future.
In addition, First Skill and Gyeongsangbuk-do expect this project to play a valuable role in enhancing the image of Yeongdeok as a soccer city that produces famous soccer ps. Therefor, this project can potentially attract younger generations, resolve population imbalances in age groups, and revitalize the local economy through stay-type sports tourism.

I hope this project will be carried out successfully with ftballer, a famous global agency and official partner of the Korea Football Association.”
