Visit Gyeongsangbuk-do’s traditional market and participate in a Lucky Roulette Event
- Gyeongsangbuk-do to offer customers purchasing KRW 20,000 or more at local traditional markets an opportunity to participate in the event -
- Event to continue from November 15 until the event budget lasts and serve 1,800 customers on a first-come, first-served basis -

Gyeongsangbuk-do announced that it is hosting the second “Love Gyeongsangbuk-do’s Traditional Markets Event” for customers spending KRW 20,000 or more at any one of the 211 traditional markets and shopping arcades across the Province.
This event was designed to encourage consumers to visit traditional markets in Gyeongsangbuk-do frequently as we all ease our way back to regular daily living, and to incentivize consumers to return to traditional markets by handing out Onnuri gift certificates that are usable at traditional markets to purchasing customers.
This event was held for the first time earlier this year, in May. The first event was met extremely well by the public, and it exhausted its budget in just over ten days.
For the second event, the number of customers receiving gift certificates will be expanded - more than 1,800 people will receive gift certificates on a first-come, first-served basis - so that more visitors to traditional markets can enjoy the benefits.
To participate in the event, customers must first log in to the “Let’s Go Gyeongbuk Travel (www.togb.co.kr)” website, and sign up as a member.
After uploading a photo of visiting local traditional markets and receipts proving purchases of KRW 20,000 or more at traditional markets, customers will be given a chance to win a roulette lottery by answering a quiz about Gyeongsangbuk-do’s traditional markets.
Depending on the results of the roulette lottery, each customer can win either a mobile gift certificate to a convenience store worth KRW 5,000, or a mobile Onnuri gift certificate work KRW 10,000 or KRW 30,000.
Purchases must be made at traditional markets and shopping arcades in Gyeongsangbuk-do that are registered on the website, and each customer can participate in the event once.
This event will continue until the budget prepared for the event is exhausted, and prizes will be sent out in bulk after the event is concluded.
The head of Gyeongsangbuk-do’s Job Creation and Economy Bureau, said, “We decided to go ahead with this second event thanks to the great response we received from the public and our local traditional markets.” He added, “We hope this event can bring more people to our traditional markets and increase the number of regular customers, helping stimulate local traditional markets.”
